Sham Jam Dance Flash Mob

Be part of a spectacular community Flash Mob that will officially open Sham Jam 2026.

Led by Mojo Moves, this fun and inclusive performance will bring together people of all ages and abilities for a celebration of music, community and creativity. Set to Queen's iconic anthem Don't Stop Me Now, the Flash Mob will take place at 18:00 on Friday, 18 September, and everyone is welcome to take part.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or have never danced before, the choreography has been designed to be easy to learn and enjoyable for all. Join hundreds of local people as we come together to create an unforgettable opening to this year's festival.

How to Get Involved

Getting involved couldn't be easier:

1. Watch the choreography video below.
2. Learn the routine at your own pace.
3. Practise as often as you like at home, with friends, at school or with your group.
4. Join the Flash Mob WhatsApp group: 07878 328253.
5. Be at the Market Place, Melksham, by 18:00 on Friday, 18 September and take part in the live Flash Mob performance.

The Flash Mob is open to:

• Individuals and families
• Schools and youth groups
• Community organisations and clubs
• Dance schools and performers
• Anyone who wants to join the fun

No dance experience is required – just enthusiasm, energy and community spirit.

There will also be open rehearsals with Mojo Moves at Melksham Assembly Hall on Wednesday 16th September, 18.30-19.30, with no booking required, for those who prefer an in-person demonstration or just want to take advantage of another opportunity to dance!
